Woodend Repair Cafe

Since the inception of a Repair Cafe in Woodend a little over 12 months ago the Woodend Mens Shed has been on hand to offer repair and “make and mend” services for those cherished household items that have broken or become a bit wobbly. Retro and heirloom chairs, tables, dolls, handbags, shoes, and prams have all been the beneficiaries of a revamp by the team that has extended their useful life for further generations!

Most simple one off jobs can be attended to on the day and payment is via a donation to the Woodend Neighbourhood House. If you have a larger project please discuss with us, we may be able to help and can certainly offer advice on possible solutions.

The aim of the Repair Cafe is to keep fixable items out of landfill and other community members provide additional services including sewing , leatherwork, knife sharpening and computer fixes. Due to liability and OHS considerations we are unable to offer services to items that use 240v, ie  are plug in.

Call and see us on the first Saturday of the month( the same day as the Farmers Market ) between 10 and 12 in the Undercroft of the Woodend Neighbourhood House. Tea, coffee and biscuits are available while you wait for your repair to complete!
